For those who aren't renewing...

From the submission thread:
...any plans on what you'll be doing instead of posting on the SDMB? There are some who have said they aren't renewing-- how many more aren't renewing, but didn't care to announce it, and are just going to stop posting without calling attention to it?

You might not but I find it interesting to see who is leaving and why.

I admit it's petty but I would like to see the SDMB fail as a pay site and have to go back to being free.

I have this fear that everyone I like will not renew and everyone I hate will renew. I figure the people I like would never dream of announcing they aren't renewing so I have no way of knowing. Of course, if I wait to find out I miss out on the special price.

I think the odds are I will forget to renew and then I'll be too cheap to pay the higher price so I will wind up posting as a guest over and over and over. Sound good?

I've started to move over to http://www.debatepolitics.com , it's a fledgeling forum that's free and actually more right leaning. Ain't perfect tho but the mods aren't psycho either.
