Who is it?

From the submission thread:
Since we've had two submissions on it, I guess I should post this:

In this post, QuickSilver comments:

There is a popular poster on this board who's spouse seems to make a habit of philandering. The poster has made a concious decision to stay in the marriage despite the difficulties and associated depression. The poster requested advice, received various extensive replies and the thread remained alive and active.

Why is the weight issue any more abhorent than the one I just described?

So... who is it?

Abhorrent.

And just out of curiosity, if there's no posting of personal info, why bother to put up the topic in the first place?

I'm going to guess you can guess which poster, just not say where he lives?

Anyway why not just search for wife cheating or something.

Inigo Montoya's wife was cheating on him for quite some time. He knew about it and stayed with her for a long time before eventually leaving. He asked for help on dealing with it.

"Abhorrent."

Why? Its not like digging up trash from private sources. Its stuff thats been posted on a public message board. And I really don't see any judging going on, except for you.

No, I was correcting the spelling in the OP's quote. I just enjoy the obnoxiousness of it (correcting, that is); there was no actual judgment involved.

dragongirl? I wouldn't exactly consider her a "popular poster", though.

You missed the part where Encyclopedia Brown (correct that muthafucka) already solved the case. It's Inigo Montoya.

dragongirl is the one whos husband is a complete dumbass. Of course she is, too. She tried to say hes abusive because hes got foot-in-mouth disease and also suffers from head-up-the-ass disorder as well. I think the concept of "half the world is below average in intelligence" is beyond the board some days.

The case of the dumpy humping princess bride.

The boy detective saves the day again!

Anything posted on the Dope or non-locked LJ entries is OK. In general, anything else is off limits.

I disagree with not being able to post info from locked LJs. First of all, if I see some comment I don't like, all I have do is scream that it's from a locked entry. Who's word are you going take, anonymous or anonymous?
Secondly, if people don't want their precious locked comments made public, they need to think long and hard about their snark filters. It should be their responsibility locked comments don't get out, not the mods here.

Just my opinion. I know you probably don't care.

The LJ mods are seriously paranoid of SDMB anonymous communities. That was only open a couple days and it's already shut down.
